Kenai River Silver Salmon
After the great King season comes
to an end on July 31st, the Silver
season starts heating up. These
fish are the most active fish you
can fish for on the Kenai! Silvers
are fished out of a boat anchored
or trolling. Just imagine hooking
into a aggressive active Silver
while on anchor, its a grueling
fight!

Seward  Silver salmon

Silvers at sea are usually caught either trolling
or by down riggers or when they get schooled
up tight, by drifting with a lead crescent weight
and a hook baited with a cut plug or strip
herring bait, or also spin casting a Fox or Mep's
over  surface of the water.
